Bowfinger and Friends, Kristian Purcell, Stranger.
Lev 2 Esquires Bedford. Sunday 9th October 2005.
Another cracking afternoon courtesy of BOWFINGER AND FRIENDS. Kicking off the afternoon were Melvin Freak who played a set of original material that was well received by the rapidly growing crowd.
Next up KRISTIAN PURCELL played a handful of his own compositions with much confidence that was appreciated by the audience.
After a ten minute break we were treated to another fine performance by STRANGER, with singer Jess in great voice, despite the fact she had been partying hard all week! It was great to hear Dan switch from bass to harmonica on one of their new songs, the title of which I didn't manage to catch.
The bar at Esquires is packed by the time BOWFINGER play. Aided by an excellent sound mix, the band went down a storm. It was nice to see members of other bands in attendence - I spotted various musicians from Ocean, Henry and the Bleeders, Delicate Children, The Tendons, Cutting Out and The Quireboys amongst the hugely appreciate audience.

Great Stuff! See you at the bar!!.
