Dun 2 Def, Rotten Agenda.

Bedford Esquires Lev 1. 10th February 2007.

On the turf wars of the modern British music scene, old-skool punk seems sadly to have been cast aside in favour of it's inferior sickly sweet American cousin a la My Chemical Romance. The rough tough British version is now a more obscure niche but thankfully for Esquires and the Bedford music fans, bands such as DUN 2 DEF keep the punk flame burning.

Despite a slightly reformed line-up, the look and sound is still thankfully of the same manic ilk and with support tonight from Northampton's like-minded ROTTEN AGENDA, both bands produce punk rock that has its roots firmly in the heyday of 1977.

Danny's Bar is heaving as both bands engage in pure musical nostalgia, but their lyrics have a modern cutting edge that has perhaps more relevance now than during times past. Dun 2 Def have a heavy touring schedule in 2007, including a planned visit to the Czech Republic. The Def boys pushed the boundaries as only a real punk band can, spitting bile and nastiness in their fuelled lyrics. The crowd, most of whom are too young to remember this style of music in its prime, are fully appreciative of a great evening.
