About
Transit
Born
out of the obvious, that there are very few quality gigs across the nation for
up and coming bands to perform at, combined with an unwillingness of experienced
seasoned promoters to stick there neck out and promote unheard bands TRANSIT
will seek to establish a solid group of committed promoters who will in turn
increase the attention given to emerging talent.
Much work has already been put in to find 12 willing promoters who are committed to the cause of developing our unsung and un found heroes into the acts of tomorrow and they are already working in their respective towns and City's putting music first.
Each promoter has also dug out the best available venue for gigs of this nature and in turn will establish them as THE place to play in each particular town.
Split up
into 4 areas, this also gives the unique opportunity for 12 bands to experience
a mini tour.
Transit is
sponsored by The Arts Council and has full support from BBC Radio 1’s ‘One
Music’
Where does Luton fit into all this?
The
country has been split into 7 zones and each zone is made up of 3 towns/cities.
Luton is joined with London and Brighton in Zone 7. During 1 week in November a
top band from each of the areas will headline a night in their home town and
also travel to the other two areas to support the home town bands.
The
result?
A
mini tour for each band incorporating 3 gigs in 1 week.
The
bands
BOWFINGER

"This
is guitar pop music at it’s best... this is just a mix of jangling guitars and
great vocals that combine to make perfect heavy weight guitar pop."

Traveling
up from London will be the band OVERDRAWN

act", the band is becoming hot property and has been labelled
Hertfordshire's top band.

old and have supported the likes of
