The Rage Against The Machine, with support from Sphere.
Esquires Level II, Bedford Saturday 7th June, 2003
SPHERE, a local group who are more than capable of catchy intelligent rock, they bought along a fair few fans and in my opinion were well worth the support slot.
They are a tight sounding band with some good guitar work happening…not my ideal genre of music but enjoyable non the less; a good set.
RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE (Tribute), I am not a fan of tribute bands as they go, especially when members of the original band are still alive!
As there was only 2 bands on the bill tonight I thought – oh no here we go, another massive set of fumbling crap from an attempt of a tribute…. But as tributes go, this was pretty good.
They played all the classics including ‘Guerrilla Radio’, ‘Know Your Enemy', ‘Bullet In Your Head’, ‘People Of The Sun’, and finishing up with the inevitable ‘Killing In The Name Of’!
The lighting guys were amazing making the night even more enjoyable!
A tight and more than respectable rendition of a once great band.
